Tudor addition/alteration in White Plains, NY

Posted in On the Boards    |    Comments Off

Proposed Front Elevation

The existing house is a small non-descript house on a small lot, which drops off sharply to the rear yard which abuts a pond. The existing garage is to be removed, which allows a 2 story addition to be built in it’s place. The addition consists of a 2 car garage on the first floor, a master bedroom suite above & a game room below.

The first floor of the house is to be remodeled, with a redesigned kitchen and 2 additions; one which enlarges the entry & another which creates a powder room.

The owner (of Irish descent) loves Tudor houses, so the propsoed design incorporates many Tudor Style elements: stucco walls with half-timbering, brick veneer, stone quoins & arches.
