shingle style house

Small cape is remodeled & altered in Greenwich, CT

Front Elevation

The existing house is a typical cape built in the ’50′s which is fairly original, with the exception of a sun room, screened porch & deck built off the back of the house. The first floor consists of a series of small rooms which are not conducive to today’s lifstyle.

The goal was to enlarge the first floor to provide more living space, while also creating a second story addition consisting of 3 bedrooms and a laundry room. A deck is created to the side of the house to take advantage of the views, based on how the house is sited on the property.

Materials include fiber cement shingles, asphalt shingle & copper roofing, PVC trim, clad windows with SDL grilles and board & batten shutters.
